FREE VERSE POEM CONFERENCES We continued with student-teacher conferences on the free verse poems that students had composed. During the conference, stars and wishes were identified. Students who have received their conference will be working on their second draft. HAIKUS Students have written two first drafts of two haikus. | BALLADS 1. Students were asked to create a new google doc, "6__. NAME. Ballads. Please file the document in your T3 poetry sub-folder. Thanks! 2. They were asked to first research online characteristics of a ballad, document their notes and be sure to include a Works Cited. 3. Students were then requested to read a selection of ballads from Poetry Foundation or poets.org. Paste your FAVORITE TOP THREE BALLADS on your google doc. |
